2026 Tarotscopes

2026 is not going to be a fun year, astrologically speaking. There will be challenges this year, as I’m sure some of you have already noticed or experienced. I pulled one card from the tarot for each zodiac sign to act as guidance for the year. Please check your rising sign, if you know it. I hope this is helpful to you and that you have the best 2026 you can.

Aries: Knight of Wands (reversed)

This is a difficult position for you to be in, Aries. As a the first fire sign of the zodiac, you like to come out ahead. The Knight of Wands is the fastest moving knight in the tarot, often considered brash, young, and full of energy. This card being in reverse is could indicate moving too quickly for your own good. Be careful of burnout and make sure you to look before you leap this year.

Taurus: Queen of Wands (reversed)

The energy surrounding you is feeling a bit harsh, Taurus. If you play with fire, don’t surprised when you get burned. This could also indicate dealing with an authority figure who just doesn’t seem to play fair. This can be hard for you, as you value fairness and you have a strong work ethic. There could be a stalling energy of the direction you want to go in this year. Trust that when you get a “no” it only leads you closer to the next “yes.”

Gemini: Three of Swords

Yes, modern interpretations of this card indicate heartbreak but the old old meaning of this card represented marriage! Either way, there is a new contract being drawn up for you which involves another party and this means a new direction in life. This card is ruled by Saturn, so it also implicates a shift in maturity. You may be called to grieve an old life and take on the responsibility of this new one you’ve agreed to.

Cancer: Nine of Wands

Boundaries. Stick-to-itness. Decisions, decisions, decisions. This card implies a crossroads, Cancer. This year you may come across many directions that lead you on different paths. It’s important that you pause before making a commitment but when you do, to actually commit. If you have found your place and want to stay there, it’s important to make the right calls in order to keep your position. Stand firm in your confidence and be someone whose actions align with their values.

Leo: Nine of Swords (reversed)

It’s not like you to stay stuck for too long in your fears, worries, and doubts, Leo but just make sure that you’re not repressing them because they will come to the surface through guiding your subconscious decisions. It may be beneficial to you to create a bedtime and morning time routine so that your nights are peaceful and you get more sleep. Try not to internalize your anger because it will just manifest as cruelty toward yourself. Confide in a trusted friend or professional, Leo.

Virgo: King of Wands

It’s time to get those good ideas off the page and into the world, Virgo. This may be a bit daunting for you, as you might be someone who prefers to stay inside to get your work done. This year is looking busy already and it’s important that you get your ducks in a row. As it turns out, this is your circus and those are your monkeys. You may be getting into the spotlight this year. There’s a lot of momentum for you. Just remember to focus on your own circus, and you’re golden.

Libra: King of Swords (reversed)

Be wary of what you say, Libra, because your words build worlds. You could be cutting off your own wings if you’re not careful. You may find that there are more difficult conversations happening around you (and sometimes you might feel like they are happening TO you.) You may be tempted to fall back on old coping mechanisms this year, with the influenced aspect of this card showing up. This also may indicate that you will be put in a position where you will need or feel the need to defend yourself more than usual.

Scorpio: The Hermit

Phew! There’s a lot going on in the world outside and you are ready to crawl under your safest rock, Scorpio. You may find that your friends are coming to you for advice more than usual this year. You may also feel called to dive into learning something new, or dive deeper into learning something you already have some knowledge in. This may be the year you take even more of a break from social media (or even social outings) than usual.

Sagittarius: Three of Cups

It’s time to lean on your friends, Sagittarius! This is a time of emotional transformation that comes through your relationships with others. You may want to be a bit more social than you have previously, or you may find a few new friends this year. It’s also a great time to celebrate your wins and share your losses. It’s time to stop isolating, my friend. Yes, you.

Capricorn: Four of Swords

This card practically pounced out of the deck for you, Capricorn. It’s okay to be grieving. It’s okay if you need rest. It’s okay to ask for help! Make sure you are getting enough sleep, eating enough, and drinking enough water. But also make sure that you are still tending to the parts of you that need other types of nourishment— read some books that make you feel seen, write in your journal, tell stories of your grief. You’re allowed to take a break. It’s not been easy for you. You’re going to get that work done, regardless, so don’t worry about it so much.

Aquarius: The Devil

While you don’t often consciously think of yourself as a victim, Aquarius, you may find yourself victimizing yourself. This year is a good time to be aware of the choices you are making and take accountability for them. You can control what you do but you don’t get to control the outcome (you can’t control the outcome.) Some escapism is okay as long as it doesn’t become a lifestyle. Beware of addictions coming to the surface this year for you. Get ready to fight some demons.

Pisces: The Emperor

You may be called to step into a leadership role this year, Pisces. This may be new for you but you have the wherewithal to step into power graciously. Some of you are natural leaders and are finally getting the recognition you deserve. Just remember that with great power comes great responsibility. There may be more people looking up to you than you realize or are used to, so it’s important to be a good role model this year. Stick to your values and make confident decisions.
